In the immediate aftermath of the 28 days residential programme a person avails of six follow up group therapy sessions on Fridays as a way of underpinning the gains of recovery.

Aftercare

28 days does not fix the problem of addiction. Aftercare supports a person on the long term process of recovery by offering a weekly support meeting for two years at various locations around the region – White Oaks, Letterkenny, Donegal Town and Sligo as well as online via Zoom. The Aftercare Co-ordinator maintains contact with each person during the two years.

Relapse

When Relapse intervention is needed because a person has gone back to drinking or using drugs/gambling, the Aftercare Co-ordinator will reach out to help guide a person back into the recovery process by meeting with them to work out a way of resuming recovery.
